Product Swatch: Miners Matte Effect Lipsticks

The Pinkish Hub sent me three shades of Miners Matte Effect Lipsticks: Wonderland, Fiesta and Barely Buff.  And as promised, here is a brief product review of these Miners Matte Effect Lipsticks

Matte Effect

Just to give you a brief background, Miners Cosmetics is one of the leading cosmetic brands in UK. It is known for its lipstick range because of its affordability and color performance. Now, this brand is starting to become well known to Filipinas through online shopping. I've heard about this brand when the hype of matte lipsticks and lip creams began so I am definitely lucky to try three of Miners Matte Effect Lipsticks.

The packaging of the lipstick is very nice and simple. It has a translucent black cap and silver tube. It provides the logo and brand and the shade as well. Furthermore, the bottom part gives an accurate appearance of the shade so you can be sure that what you see is what you get.

Barely Buff, Wonderland, Fiesta

Yey for more photos! I can't help it- the packaging looks very nice indeed.

ARM SWATCHES:

The color pigmentation is impressive. I love how bright Wonderland turned out to be. It's a pretty coral shade. Anyway, I noticed that when I smudged the swatches, they can be used as blush as well.

LIP SWATCHES:

Unlike the other matte lipsticks I've tried, these lipsticks were able to cover my lips well. Despite their matte effect, they easily glided on my lips and are surprisingly creamy. They're not too glossy like the regular lipstick nor too drying on the lips. Moreover, the scent reminds me of cherries. Ang sarap ng amoy! hehehe.

WONDERLAND

FIESTA

BARELY BUFF

I have not tested the wear-ability of these lipsticks so I can't provide you with an information about how long they last on the lips. But I shall write separate individual posts about these lipsticks for an in depth review. I think it will be better if I can post FOTDs too. With respect to the affordability of Miners Matte Effect Lipsticks, you can purchase them at a retail price of Php 300 online. These cost higher than my EB Matte Lipsticks but the quality and color pay off of the Miners Lipsticks are worth the difference.

  1. Thanks for the review! Really good pigmentation! I like Fiesta! Do you think it can cover slightly dark upper lips?

  2. I agree! Bongga ang packaging. Mukhang expensive sya! And I even like it's formula, it's matte but it's creamy :) Mukhang di sya drying sa lips :) Love the 2 sahdes, Wonderland and Barely Buff. :) Nice lips!

  3. @Iya: Yes I think it can cover slightly dark upper lips. When applied, the color pay off is an opaque bright pink shade. So it covers the imperfections of the lips. But you might need to swipe at least thrice to cover the darker areas. Nevertheless, it does the job well. :)

  6. Love Fiesta! I think it is pigmented enough to cover my slightly dark upper lips! Great review! :)

I just want to ask, are you from Novaliches? Hehe wala lang. I've read from your posts that you frequent SM Fairview. Lagi rin akong nandun. Hehehe. Stalker mode :p

  7. Yup! It looks great on lips! You should try it. Php 300 lang siya. However since you have to buy it online, you have to shell out at least Php 400 including shipping... but still... mura pa rin compare sa mga imported drugstore lipsticks na halos Php 900++ pa tas hindi ganon ka pigmented... and hindi pa matte. :P

  8. @Iya: Thank you, Iya! :) No, I'm not from Novaliches but my boyfriend lives near the area that's why we often go to SM Fairview. Infairness daming shops don at updated sa mga makeup drugstores (lalo na sa mga Asian brands like Etude House, Tony Moly, Nature Republic and the like) hehe! Naku baka magkasalubong tayo don! ^____^
