My Everyday Look

I'm not really good with putting make up on. I don't know how to blend eyeshadows. In fact I've bought a number of eye make up but I've never made a decent, creative look for them. I guess it's also because I don't have good makeup brushes too. I'll try them on next time so I can share simple eye make up looks using different colors.

But for now, let me share to you my everyday look. I want simple, neutral look that is wearable anytime of the day. I've used this look ever since third year college. Sometimes I'd try out darker shades/colors but my way of application is just the same.

These are the products I use.

Step 1: I apply Revlon Two Way cake foundation using a kabuki brush. I apply it thinly on my face because later on, I'll use it again to build up the coverage on my face.

Step 2: I apply BB cream only to the part of my face that needs to be covered like blemishes. I simply put small dots on my face. I haven't repurchased this so if you've been following my blog you'll notice it lasted me quite a long time. I only apply small amounts of this product. It glides smoothly on the face so I just use my fingers. One of my favorites is Maybelline Mineral BB Cream.

Step 3:  I apply my Revlon Colorstay foundation in Nude. I only do "spotting". I forget the term that Michelle Phan used but what I mean is I don't apply make up all over  my face. I only put it on part of my face that needs to be enhanced/concealed. It makes the coverage more natural and the make up less noticeable.

Step 4: Shape Eyebrows. I love my thick brows. I apply the brown wax only on the tip of my brows. Then I apply the brow powder all over my brows to lighten them up. I use Maybelline BrowDefinist.

Step 5: Highlight. This is a very inexpensive make up. I bought it for P85. It is Fashion 21 Stick Eyeshadow in Pearl. What I do is apply it on my nose bridge til the tip of my nose. Blend it. Then I also apply on the corner of my eyes and underneath it. This will emphasize my eyes and make it look brighter. I've bought TBS Glow enhancer (discontinued)  but it's quite expensive. This one is more affordable and has the same effect if applied thinly.

Step 6:  Apply eyeshadow. This palette is the only thing that has never been replaced in my make up bag. It is an Avon eyeshadow palette. I always use it no matter what. I only use the brown matte shadow and I apply it on my lids.

If I want a smokey effect on my eyes, that's the time I'd add another colour but I only apply that on my crease.

Step 7: Apply Eyeliner. I have this unique way of putting eyeliner. First off, I don't apply it all over my lids. I only apply it halfway through the tip of my eyes. Then I apply thickly on that eyes to make an illusion of thick eyelashes. I know.. it's weird but I like it anyway. ^__^ I use Elianto eyeliner pencil.

Step 8: Apply Mascara. I use Avon Super Extend Mascara. Then I curl my lashes using Fanny Serano Eye Lash Curler.

And these are the looks I made using this "natural make-up" application.

Fourth year College

It may be a boring look for some but I just love the natural look.

And now that I'm working, I still wear this kind of look.

Easy to apply

Simple and wearable in any occasion

Today, I went out with my BF to watch an alumni basketball game in his Highschool @ Pisay.
I wore this look.

After the game we attended the church, bougt devil's cake @ Chocolate Kiss for his Mom's B-day.

This cake is their best seller. Quite pricey but it is all worth it. Devil's Cake! Yum yum!

Then we went to SM Fairview.

BTW, I bought some stuff:

Finally, I bought my Himalaya Neem Face Pack. I read about it through Thiamere.

I bought Ever Bilena Lip and Cheek tint, Nichido Water resistant Eyeliner and Fashion 21 Stick Eyeshadow (my first repurchase).

Anyway, feel free to share your everyday make up tools/routine. I've only learned how to put make up on through other people's blog so I'd be very glad if you share some tips. :)

  2. You look so "maaliwalas" in your photos. We have the same makeup look. I'm also into natural look but I've skipped the eyeshadow part lately. I just line my eyes with black eyeliner, curl the lashes and apply mascara.

    Lots of love,
