Etude Haul, New Nail Polishes, Make up Kit and More

Hello, girls! I hope you are enjoying summer.

Last Wednesday, I was able to visit Etude House @ SM Fairview. I never knew they had inexpensive nail polishes that were worth Php 48 and Php 98. So I grab the two shades that attracted me. I was also very glad that I was able to buy eyelid tapes at Php 58. Too bad, I did not bring my Pink Membership Card. :( But it was ok. I still enjoyed it.

I bought eyelid tapes not because I have monolids. Most of the time, whenever I'm stressed, my right eyelid becomes a monolid which makes me conscious because my eyes look weird . The culprit can be stress, a result of crying until I fell asleep... or both. So to avoid that semi-monolid situation (which I think will be frequent once law classes start), I bought these handy-dandy tapes. I tried it yesterday and it looked natural on my lid. I wasn't able to take pictures of me wearing it but I'll try to post it some other time.

I also want to share with you guys the nail polishes I recently bought this year. My nail polish collection is growing FAST. I just can't help buying these cute nail polishes especially that they're very inexpensive. Speaking of inexpensive, I want to show you my new nail polish discovery: MUTYA.

From left to right: To Bee Farm, Cool Donsol, Honda Bay, Panglao Dive
I bought them at Php 44. 75 each. The packaging is catchy and chic. The gold coated cap makes this a little more sophisticated than other drugstore nail polishes. Aside from that, it has catchy names for each shades.

Here's a link from Mutya's website so that you can also check out the available shades.

Here is a picture of my growing nail polish collection.

I apologize for my very unattractive/distractive study table. I'm planning to organize my things this summer but I'm too lazy to clean my room. :P

Just like everyone else, I've been changing foundations as I find better products that suit my skin. I also discover new products to add to my make up kit. So another year, another updated make up kit.

1. Make up Bag I bought @SM Marikina
2. Nichido Eyebrow Pencil
3. Nichido Eyeliner Smudge free (although it will smudge a little bit if you have oily lids which I do. Hopefully I'll be able to find a good eyeliner for me. I'm still in search of that product)
4. IN2IT Mascara (brief review in this post)
5. VOV Cream Foundation
6. E.L.F Bronzer Powder (Luminance)
7. Nichido Mono Eyeshadow
8. Max Factor Weightless Foundation in Beige Linen ( I'm a shade lighter but I find this shade more natural for me. It covers my blemishes than my real shade)
9. Revlon Nude Lipstick ( I don't really wear it but I still bring it)
10. E.L.F All-Over-Stick in Golden Peach
11. Etude House Eyelid tapes.

Before I end my post I also want to share with you some crafts and furnitures I want to buy to add accent in my room. Not sure if I can buy the chair though. I visited KULTURA PILIPINAS store @ SM MOA and it is worth almost Php 10,000.

This looks great for organizing my nail polish collection. :D

Disclaimer: Not from KULTURA but I'd love to have this in my room!

Who doesn't want a nice shoe rack/shelf?

Thanks for reading and have a nice weekend!

Turned 2NE1

I'm 21 and still kickin'! ^__^

Sorry guys if this is like my first post for October. There are times I planned to post something but it took time for me to organize my thoughts. I've been thinking A LOT of things lately. Stress. :P

Anyway, it's my birthday and I'm one year older. Time flies so fast. Three years ago I'm just celebrating my debut and now... I'm already frigging 2ne1. I mean... I can't pretend to be a teenager anymore- eighTEEN... nineTEEN, twenTEEN.... and now.. it's really twenty-one. I won't be able to put any "teen" to it. :P I'm now a young adult which means I have more responsibilities.

Dance with my Father... on my 18th Birthday

This year I'm very grateful to God for giving a lot of blessings. I graduated in a good university with the course I really like. And I was able to get a great job as a US stock broker right after school. It's quite difficult to get a job these days. I'm one of the lucky ones who didn't have to extend a bum life being unemployed which is a good thing for a career. There's always progress although one must sacrifice time and social life. I'm not a student anymore. I can't just be absent like cutting classes. I really need to work my ass off if you know what I mean. :P

I really wanna thank my parents and my friends who supports me all the way. I'm 21 and I'm ready to take over the world. LMAO. ^__^

And because it's my birthday... I made a video of myself lip singing... again. HAHAHA.

I simply ironed my hair for this video so it is still curly naturally. But I think I look more mature with my hair straightened. ^__^

It's quite a trend having a matte dark blue nails. And it can make your complexion lighter too.

Here in the Philippines, temperature is unbelievable. I don't wanna go out 10 am- 3 pm cause it's really hot outside. Even bringing a handy dandy umbrella won't work. I won't survive the heat.

And these are all the things I bought for my birthday. :) ^__^ I'm excited to try the Blue Nails. Hehehe.

My Everyday Look

I'm not really good with putting make up on. I don't know how to blend eyeshadows. In fact I've bought a number of eye make up but I've never made a decent, creative look for them. I guess it's also because I don't have good makeup brushes too. I'll try them on next time so I can share simple eye make up looks using different colors.

But for now, let me share to you my everyday look. I want simple, neutral look that is wearable anytime of the day. I've used this look ever since third year college. Sometimes I'd try out darker shades/colors but my way of application is just the same.

These are the products I use.

Step 1: I apply Revlon Two Way cake foundation using a kabuki brush. I apply it thinly on my face because later on, I'll use it again to build up the coverage on my face.

Step 2: I apply BB cream only to the part of my face that needs to be covered like blemishes. I simply put small dots on my face. I haven't repurchased this so if you've been following my blog you'll notice it lasted me quite a long time. I only apply small amounts of this product. It glides smoothly on the face so I just use my fingers. One of my favorites is Maybelline Mineral BB Cream.

Step 3:  I apply my Revlon Colorstay foundation in Nude. I only do "spotting". I forget the term that Michelle Phan used but what I mean is I don't apply make up all over  my face. I only put it on part of my face that needs to be enhanced/concealed. It makes the coverage more natural and the make up less noticeable.

Step 4: Shape Eyebrows. I love my thick brows. I apply the brown wax only on the tip of my brows. Then I apply the brow powder all over my brows to lighten them up. I use Maybelline BrowDefinist.

Step 5: Highlight. This is a very inexpensive make up. I bought it for P85. It is Fashion 21 Stick Eyeshadow in Pearl. What I do is apply it on my nose bridge til the tip of my nose. Blend it. Then I also apply on the corner of my eyes and underneath it. This will emphasize my eyes and make it look brighter. I've bought TBS Glow enhancer (discontinued)  but it's quite expensive. This one is more affordable and has the same effect if applied thinly.

Step 6:  Apply eyeshadow. This palette is the only thing that has never been replaced in my make up bag. It is an Avon eyeshadow palette. I always use it no matter what. I only use the brown matte shadow and I apply it on my lids.

If I want a smokey effect on my eyes, that's the time I'd add another colour but I only apply that on my crease.

Step 7: Apply Eyeliner. I have this unique way of putting eyeliner. First off, I don't apply it all over my lids. I only apply it halfway through the tip of my eyes. Then I apply thickly on that eyes to make an illusion of thick eyelashes. I know.. it's weird but I like it anyway. ^__^ I use Elianto eyeliner pencil.

Step 8: Apply Mascara. I use Avon Super Extend Mascara. Then I curl my lashes using Fanny Serano Eye Lash Curler.

And these are the looks I made using this "natural make-up" application.

Fourth year College

It may be a boring look for some but I just love the natural look.

And now that I'm working, I still wear this kind of look.

Easy to apply

Simple and wearable in any occasion

Today, I went out with my BF to watch an alumni basketball game in his Highschool @ Pisay.
I wore this look.

After the game we attended the church, bougt devil's cake @ Chocolate Kiss for his Mom's B-day.

This cake is their best seller. Quite pricey but it is all worth it. Devil's Cake! Yum yum!

Then we went to SM Fairview.

BTW, I bought some stuff:

Finally, I bought my Himalaya Neem Face Pack. I read about it through Thiamere.

I bought Ever Bilena Lip and Cheek tint, Nichido Water resistant Eyeliner and Fashion 21 Stick Eyeshadow (my first repurchase).

Anyway, feel free to share your everyday make up tools/routine. I've only learned how to put make up on through other people's blog so I'd be very glad if you share some tips. :)
