Launching THE BERRY VINTAGE

Hello, everyone! I have been MIA for a few weeks. There's a good reason for that. This summer, I spent my entire vacation helping my parents in our family business. It wasn't easy. It was tiring and there were times I got lazy. But I am proud to say that I did my best to spend time with my parents even if it meant that I had to work with them until 11 pm. YUP! Although I had plans to go out with my friends, co-bloggers, youtubers and even my Quorum sisters, I chose to help my parents instead. Minsan lang to kasi walang pasok e. :) 
Having said that, I have reached my goal in making a video that would somehow advertise our business. Last year, I made a simple website for our printing business and took some photos of our invitation and souvenir items. This year I am featuring one of our services, DIGITAL EMBROIDERY. GO DIGITAL. CHOOSE RALMIG.  Videography and editing by yours truly. :)


Also, I am very grateful to my Pangga who visited and helped me with my work as often as he could. He is my inspiration. Kinikilig ako kapag sinasamahan ninya ako sa tindahan. hehehe. Madalas siya pa nagsusundo samin ni Mama pauwi kapag late na nakakabalik si Papa. Salamat, Pangga! :)
Anyway, I have been wanting to have a small business. My dad wants me to expand our printing business in the future but, for now, my interest is really on simple, cute and fancy things. Most of all, I love shopping! Kung may pera! Being a frugal person, I love shopping more for business purposes. :) 
This summer I created my online store named, THE BERRY VINTAGE. It is my dream online shop. It took some guts and hard work to create a website. It was pretty challenging but I was able to do it.

PRICE: PHP 350* What really interests me with this product line is the long lasting effect of the stain on the lips. I want tinted lips and as much as possible I don't want to wear full and bold lipsticks. I want a lip product that will not fade easily even after drinking and eating. Another good thing about it is that it is a lip balm- it moisturizes your lips. Although it acts as a moisturizer, it is also kiss-proof hence the name kissable lips balm. :)

2. Revlon Color Stay Whipped Creme Foundation

I really want to try this product ever since Laura featured this on her Best Beauty Products of 2012 video. If only I have finished up all my foundation, then I would have bought this right away. My only concern about this product is the packaging because it is made of heavy glass. 3. Revlon Matte Lipstick in Smoked Peach

I had a school mate who wore this in school and it looked great on her lips. She is morena and the peachy color complimented her skin well. It's the closest shade to nude that doesn't make Pinay pale. The shade and texture is wearable and perfect for everyday school makeup. LOVE MATTE! :)  4. Maybelline One By One/Unstoppable Mascara & Eyeliner Kit, 520 Blackest Black Onyx

I love Maybelline mascaras. And the great thing is you also get a smudge-proof, waterproof eyeliner a long with the mascara for a very affordable price!

5. Hard Candy Welcome Matte Mattifying Powder

Good Bye Oily T-zones! I am using foundation powder to mattify my face but it doesn't last long enough through out the day because of the humidity here in the Philippines. I think this product is worth a try because the packaging is really funky and the price is affordable. I saw in a review that it has a pink, heart-shaped sponge. PRICE: PHP 500 Wrinkle Therapy? Now that makes me a lot curious. This Face powder claims to reduce visible wrinkles in 10 minutes. I don't have any wrinkles yet (I think). But it doesn't hurt to delay the formation of wrinkles on my face. My Super Special Guest Blogger: Nani

 

 

Hi girls. I'm writing a guest entry for Maggie's blog for today. First of I'd like to make a waiver that I'm not a very good writer like her so if the quality of the post is not up to standard with the usual posts in this blog, please understand. I first met Maggie in our theology class in college. She sat beside me (hmmm... bkt kaya? marami naman upuan sa ibang side) but we only started talking when our professor Fr. Giordano (favorite Jesuit ko yan) assigned us a group project. So as our college days went by, we got to know more about each other and everything after that, as what they say, is history.

 

            Maggie is such a sweet girl. She's the most caring and considerate girlfriend I ever had. Nowadays, we're both law students. Yes, it is very stressful but it was both our choice and we are going to grind it out until the end. But what can I say, she really is the better of the two of us. Grabe yan kahit super stressed na yan kakaaral buong gabi she still finds time to bring my favorite food to school (spam and buttered corn yum yum yum).

 

            I also like the weirdness of our relationship. Pareho kasi tayo weird eh. Maggie has this weird habit of making weird sound effects after her sentences haha. That's why I call her theater arts. It's funny but those are actually the things that I miss most when we're not together. I also love the way she calls me at the middle of the night to say "Nani ang baho baho mo, I love you goodnight."       

 

            Not everyone can truly and sincerely say this to another person but I can happily say that getting to know Maggie has been the best thing that happened in my life. Words really can't express how much I love you, Mag. The best part about our relationship is that as time goes by, along with the numerous obstacles and challenges in our lives, you're always there at the end of the day to sit beside me and make me smile :)

Update: Crazy October for Me

I want to update my blog as often as possible but this month is really stressful for me (and now I'm blogging... what am I doing???). It is bar month (yup. I'm a law student. Sana palarin balang araw at maggie-ng abugado!) and I'm quite active with my organization, Quorum (Ok, some people mistake it as a sorority but it's not. Anyway, what other people say doesn't matter. :P). Bar month + Final Exams is quite a challenging combination. If you're a law student like me and also an active member of a Bar Operations group, you know what I mean. Anyway, aside from the Quorum Bar Ops, I'm also accepting Digital Hardbound projects in school to serve my classmates in dire need of high quality hardbound cover for their case digests. (Sabi nga ni Pangga, nilevel up ko ang standards ng mga digests.... kinilig naman ako. hahaha! Pabonggahan ng cover!) 

Our family has a printing business (Ralmig Signs and Photo Studio- the ultimate one stop printing shop) and one of our services is the Digital Hardbound Perfect Bind Service. I offered free delivery so most of my classmates availed Ralmig services. (O diba... law student na feeling entrep pa. hahaha! Rumaraket ako sa school para may pambaon ako. ^___^) I was glad they were all satisfied with the service. Apparently, this binding service will continue for the rest of my law school life and, hopefully, even after I become a lawyer (teehee! ^__^). I now have loyal customers in my network. lol. 



Anyway, I also joined San Beda College of Law Chorale... and I'll be singing the Responsorial Psalm this coming Saturday during the mass for the Barristers. :(( Kinakabahan ako. :( I pray that this year is going to be a glorious year for San Beda! 100% passing rate! Go go go, Bedan Lawyers!  It seems like I have an overwhelming set of activities while studying law but I truly want to make my law school life memorable. I know God will guide me and, as long as I have the determination and enthusiasm, I believe I won't fail. 
We paddle our own canoe and I choose to make the most out of my journey. I want to balance education, business, hobbies, relationships and all other things. It's a challenge- a tough one. But nothing is impossible. It is stressful but worthwhile. And did I mention I also managed to design a wedding invitation? It was for Nani's sister's church wedding this coming November. <3

Nani and Maggie: Sunday Strawberry filled Chocolate

It is quite disappointing that Pacman lost the fight against Bradley but I won't let that make my day be filled with bitterness. :P For me, Pacquiao is still the winner. He's the People's Champ. :)

Anyway, I decided to make a chocolate dessert with the help of my pangga. Nani doesn't like chocolates but he enjoyed making them. :) Trip niya magmold ng tsokolate.
