My Super Special Guest Blogger: Nani

 

 

Hi girls. I'm writing a guest entry for Maggie's blog for today. First of I'd like to make a waiver that I'm not a very good writer like her so if the quality of the post is not up to standard with the usual posts in this blog, please understand. I first met Maggie in our theology class in college. She sat beside me (hmmm... bkt kaya? marami naman upuan sa ibang side) but we only started talking when our professor Fr. Giordano (favorite Jesuit ko yan) assigned us a group project. So as our college days went by, we got to know more about each other and everything after that, as what they say, is history.

 

            Maggie is such a sweet girl. She's the most caring and considerate girlfriend I ever had. Nowadays, we're both law students. Yes, it is very stressful but it was both our choice and we are going to grind it out until the end. But what can I say, she really is the better of the two of us. Grabe yan kahit super stressed na yan kakaaral buong gabi she still finds time to bring my favorite food to school (spam and buttered corn yum yum yum).

 

            I also like the weirdness of our relationship. Pareho kasi tayo weird eh. Maggie has this weird habit of making weird sound effects after her sentences haha. That's why I call her theater arts. It's funny but those are actually the things that I miss most when we're not together. I also love the way she calls me at the middle of the night to say "Nani ang baho baho mo, I love you goodnight."       

 

            Not everyone can truly and sincerely say this to another person but I can happily say that getting to know Maggie has been the best thing that happened in my life. Words really can't express how much I love you, Mag. The best part about our relationship is that as time goes by, along with the numerous obstacles and challenges in our lives, you're always there at the end of the day to sit beside me and make me smile :)

Nani and Maggie: Sunday Strawberry filled Chocolate

It is quite disappointing that Pacman lost the fight against Bradley but I won't let that make my day be filled with bitterness. :P For me, Pacquiao is still the winner. He's the People's Champ. :)

Anyway, I decided to make a chocolate dessert with the help of my pangga. Nani doesn't like chocolates but he enjoyed making them. :) Trip niya magmold ng tsokolate.

Nani and Maggie: Saturday Food Trip

Another fun Saturday with Pangga!!!!

We had DVD Marathon the entire day. And the best thing about our day was the FOOD! 

For lunch, I ordered Tapsilog and Porksilog at Tapsilog Avenue in Marikina, infront of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Marikina. All their silog meals are priced at Php 45 with free soup so they're very affordable and student-budget-friendly. Also, they are currently having a free Ice Tea promo, which you can avail only when you dine in their food store, until June 12, 2012. They're open 24 hours so you can call them @ 268-1645 and order silog meals anytime. They have free delivery as well. :) 

Menu: Tapsilog, Tocilog, Cornsilog, Bangsilog, Hotsilog, Hamsilog, Porksilog, Burgersilog, Chixsilog and Longsilog. 

I love eating at their food store because it is clean and the food is presentable and delicious. I love the fact that they serve their silog meals with fried rice. But I was turned off by the customer service they had when I called for delivery. I could tell from our conversation that the employee who answered the phone was inexperienced. I had to call twice because he didn't ask how much I'd be paying so he could prepare the change. He also had a hard time looking for our house, thus, he had to call twice or thrice. I think they should improve on that because if they encounter an impatient customer, they'll be scolded or reprimanded. Overall, I enjoyed the food but the service could have been better.

Nani and I enjoyed the food and the movies. We watched five (5) movies: Hanna, In Time, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Babae sa Septik Tank and Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang. I love our Saturday bonding time. :) I'll definitely miss this once the classes start in June.

Anyway, I hope you also had a great weekend! :)

OOTD: Wearin' Heart for Summer

Hi, everyone! I hope you're still enjoying summer despite the intolerable heat in the Philippines, except in Baguio. Yesterday, Nani and I went out for a date and our trip to Trinoma was very exhausting because the heat was so intense I wanted to jump into a pool. Ganon kalala. >_< Sumakay muna kami ng jeep papuntang Commonwealth tapos tsaka kami nakasakay ng van papuntang Trinoma. Buti na lang malakas aircon ng van dahil kadalasan walang epek yung aircon sa mga public transpo vehicle ngayon.

It has been a year since we visited Trinoma so Nani and I planned to have a date there. It was a big busy place. The place was just crowded with people shopping, eating and hanging out. It is a great mall but, to be honest, I could settle for smaller malls like SM Marikina, Sta. Lucia or Robinson's Metroeast. Maybe, it is just me but I don't like crowded places and at the same time, it is quite far from our place. At kung iisipin, magmamcdo/jollibee lang naman ako... lalayo pa ba ako? Wahahahaha! Di ko naman afford iyong kakain sa mga mamahaling restaurant or boutique. :P In fairness, Trinoma has a great landscape and environment. It is definitely a great place to hang out every once in a while. 

Anyway, here's my LOTD and OOTD.

Sorry for my unruly hair. :P I decided not to have my hair rebonded/straightened despite the many tempting deals and new treatments available in the market. I wanted to try Japanese Straight or Cold Smoothing Treatment but I made up mind to let my hair be HAIRself. So yeah... hello there, curly hair!

Nani and I saw the movie Wrath of the Titans. This movie is quite special to us because the first installment, Clash of the Titans, was the first movie we saw together. *insert kilig here* 

Then, we ended our day drinking smoothies. ^___^

Before I end this post let me just share with you what I saw at Landmark. 

TADAH! New Packaging for Fanny Serrano's Two Way Cake Foundation! SA informed me that not all of the shades have updated their packaging. For now, only Organza has this new elegant, sturdy packaging. AND LOOK AT THE MIRROR! It was like Mommy Fanny heard our prayers! LOL. This is a lot better and more convenient than the old packaging. I did not buy it as I am still finishing my compact but I'll definitely get one in the near future. ^__^ 

Yey! Let me know your thoughts about it. :)

Love Turned Me To You

Having a heart that has been broken so many times, I never saw myself loving a person unconditionally and selflessly again. I'd been very protective and defensive about my feelings because it had been difficult to let my guard down and end up getting hurt again. I didn't want to end up the same broken person when I started my second relationship. I wasn't completely healed but there was a mysterious force that led me to another relationship albeit it never guaranteed certainty of a successful love life. But, I guess, in the face of love, one can't help but embrace the pain and just let go of everything just so that one can make another person happy. 

When I entered the relationship with Nani, I told myself I wanted to be happy. Looking at myself right now and how our relationship has grown, I realize that I want to make him happy more than I think of my own happiness.

Thank you for listening to my endless rants.

The Perfect Two

Hello, everyone! Another long weekend! YEHEY!

I just want to share the video that I made for Nani's sister who is getting married this coming Friday. I'm really happy for her because last year, she and her fiance became lawyers and, now, both of them are getting married. It's like every year is a new blessing. And their story is a perfect example of waiting for everything to fall in the right place. I'm not saying that there's something wrong with getting married early at a very young age but, we must admit, that marriage is not easy. We can't just walk in a relationship and say, "Hey, let's get married!" Or we can't just commit and get pregnant without thinking of stability because the reality is that we cannot walk out of a marriage as fast as we have walked in it. It's a lifetime commitment. And if in the middle of such commitment, you find out that you no longer want to be with your partner, it's going to be terrible.  But hey, this post is not about that.

We may have different views about relationships but for me, it's better to prepare a stable future before settling down. Whenever I think of marriage, it really puts a smile on my face because the thought of being with the person I love for the rest of my life makes me very happy. That's my ultimate dream: to have a family. I have other dreams like being a successful lawyer, having multiple businesses, travelling around the world and accomplishing other wonderful things but I dedicate them all to my family in the future. I am nothing without the people I love. I cannot live just by thinking of myself. I always see myself being with other people. And that's me- relationships are very important to me. And I am hoping that in the future, I'll be able to build a family full of love and happiness. 

PS. Ang ganda ng Ate ni Nani.. tas guapo rin si Kuya Nikko. Wahahaha! Parang naexcite ako kung ano magiging itsura ng anak nila. Sigurado ako super cute. ^___^ Excited lol!

Maggie and Nani: Birthday Dinner

For my birthday, I decided to meet up with my high school friends who have been very close to my heart. I planned a simple dinner with them  as I wanted everything to be as intimate as possible. I'm not fond of extravagant parties so we had dinner at home. I also asked a friend of mine to bring Horror DVDs that we could watch. ^___^

On a side note: I made a Birthday video with Nani. We now have an official Youtube channel: NaniGgie.

Anyway, here are some photos of the food I prepared last Saturday. I decided to prepare Asado (Pampanga's Style), Chicken Wings, Macaroni, Rice, Corn with Melted Cheese and Blueberry Cheesecake. I wasn't able to take a photo of the chicken wings because our angel (Kasambahay/maid) served it last while we were eating. ^__^

PS. I just wanna show you guys the current condition of my skin. My skin is far from perfect and as I've said before, I am still battling with acne/pimples. I just don't want to make you think that my skin is super flawless when in reality, it's not. There are times that my skin looks better but you know, we all have our bad days. WAHAHAHA! If you're frustrated about your skin... I can totally relate. But remember HOLD YOUR HEAD UP HIGH! Never let acne/pimples rip off the happiness within you.
